Our “Unterhölzlhof” is an organic farm. This means that we avoid chemical treatment throughout our entire agriculture. Our products, which we produce ourselves, are organic – free of any chemical additives.
Our farm is relatively small by today’s standards. However, this allows us to be very versatile: we keep a suckler herd with cows and young animals, some fattening pigs, goats and various small animals such as chickens, cats and rabbits. Grain, potatoes, vegetables and fodder for livestock grow in our fields.
OUR ORGANIC PRODUCTS
To delight our guests we offer following home grown and self made products:
• eggs
• spelt and spelt flour
• wheat and wheat flour
• “Kaminwurzen” (a sort of regional spicy sausage) and Salami
• speck
• potatoes
• good cheese, milk and jogurt
• rye
You can also do something for your health on our organic farm. If you wish, you can try spell pillows.
Why spell pillows?
Spell is the original form of all types of grain. Spelled husk contains up to 90 percent silica, which acts on the organs through the skin. Silica is a component of human connective tissue. Silica increases resistance to physical illnesses.
